Note: The numbering of the exercises refer to the textbook. Also, I will only collect the exercises with a star (*) on it. I recommend you complete all the assigned problems.

  • Section 1.1, ex. 1c, 1e, 4a, 4f, 4g*, 5, 6g, 6j, 7d*, 8*, 9*, 17a, 20* (page 17).
  • Check that the set of continuous functions, with addition and multiplication by scalar being point wise defined, is a vector space.
